My name is Suzanne Bruno, but I prefer Suzie – mostly because I’m from New Orleans, and down there we pronounce my name a little bit differently than most would expect (Suz-ahne, not Suz-anne – like it’s spelled…). A Sue Chef is a compilation of both feel good and good for you recipes for the home cook. I believe that eating should be about balance. Knowing when to cut back and when to indulge are the keys to a healthy lifestyle. So yes! eat that delicious chocolate chip cookie, but don’t forget your quinoa, too!
I started blogging my sophomore year of college after my best friend and I moved into our first apartment together. Back then I had zero credibility, a point and shoot camera, and an impossible to pronounce blog name. Why I believed I was qualified to write a food blog, I’ll never know. In 2014, I graduated from Elon University with a major in Entrepreneurship. A month later, I packed my bags and moved to New York City where I studied Classic Culinary Arts as well as Cake Techniques and Design at the International Culinary Center. Now, I’m working as a Pastry Assistant to Alexander Zecena at Esca, an upscale Italian trattoria in Manhattan’s Theater District.

(Personally, I feel as though my 60+ Pinterest boards are a direct reflection of my closet, apartment/dream home, and overall posh and hyper organized lifestyle)
