I’m back! As many of you may have noticed, A Sue Chef went on somewhat of a hiatus. I got a new job, moved into a new apartment and took a break from the culinary industry for a while. I didn’t realize it at the time, but taking a break from restaurants meant taking a break from blogging, as well. I guess you could say I was having a bit of an identity crisis. I have so many other interests besides food, I decided to spend the year focusing on those hobbies, instead. Cut to my love of interior design.
Believe it or not, I probably spend more time on sites like West Elm, Ones Kings Lane, and Trulia than I do researching recipes. I’ve been wanting to branch out into lifestyle for a while, but I didn’t know how it would be received by my readers. A Sue Chef is a food blog – would it be awkward if I started writing about bar carts and shelf vignettes? I even considered changing the name. After many conversations with my sisters, friends, boyfriend, parents (or anyone that would listen to me for that matter), I decided to give it the old college try.
A Sue Chef isn’t getting a full on makeover just yet, but expect to see a mix of home decor, entertaining, travel and food related topics in the posts to come!
Below is a preview of my next blog post, and what you can expect to see more of on A Sue Chef in the future.
